Heather + John | Lake Tahoe Engagement Session

Heather + John are planning a June destination wedding in Lake Tahoe,  CA.  It will be very intimate with only @ 20 people and we are so honored to be their photographers!  We captured them during sunset where it was a little chilly but they managed to cuddle and keep each-other warm which made for some cute pics!  Here is a sneak peak;)

Julie + Steve | Emerald Bay Lake Tahoe spring wedding

Julie & Steve got married at Emerald Bay,  Lake Tahoe this past Saturday.  It was a nice intimate wedding with only @ 20 of their closest family & friends.  It was one of those days where the sun was playing peek-a-boo and it turned out Emerald Bay had it’s own weather system and surprised us with a little snow flurry!  It turned out beautiful,  of course, and all their guests were all smiles going along with the unexpected! I absolutely love this one!  Catching snowflakes on his tongue was such a classic moment!  Had to get his black & white Adidas!  We continued their celebration at a private home in Carnelian Bay.  The home had a speculator view as well!  Check out the stealie (steal your face icon) on the wineglass! They met when they were 18 on the Grateful Dead tour;)  Super sweet!

Karin & Jim win our most adventurous wedding couple award for 2010!

\n

This exciting couple decided to make this a two day event with us so that we could capture multiple locations with their bridal party which included their children.  The 1st day, there sick the bridal party dressed in their wedding attire and hiked around at D.L. Bliss State Park in Lake Tahoe to capture some fun family shots. This is one of our most favorite beach locations. With a sheltered cove and incredible teal water, troche click you would think you were in the tropics!

The next day was their actual wedding day.  The ceremony took place at Eagle Rock in Tahoe City.  Once again in their wedding attire, treatment Karin, Jim and approx. 50 of their close friends and family hiked 1.5 miles to the top of Eagle Rock.  As you can see from the photos, it was a beautiful September day and an unbelievable wedding ceremony with one of the most amazing views I’d every seen!

\n

Eagle Rock is an eroded, dormant volcano. This hike leads up and across the enormous volcanic rock formation. From the top are panoramic overlooks of Lake Tahoe.  It is a \”must\” hike if you ever have a chance to check it out!

\n

Thanks Karin & Jim for letting me capture your amazing day!

\n

Cheers,
